Bonne Année 2010 - Best wishes for 2010

Comme d'habitude, on est un peu en retard côté voeux....on me dit qu'en France on a jusqu'à la fin janvier pour les souhaiter...... En tout cas, nous espérons que la première année de la décennie sera pleine de bonnes choses pour tous, et surtout plein d'évènements à fêter avec le champagne Fluteau !

Pour nous, après quelques jours de détente en famille (fêtes obligent!) et quelques excès côté gastronomie, c'est le retour au bureau (Jennifer) et à la cave (Thierry). Occupations : ratrappage paperasse (déclarations de ceci, de cela - on aime bien ça en France....) préparations d'échantillons pour tous les concours, guides et journalistes (c'est de plus en plus tôt!), inventaire (encore!), dégustations de vins clairs en prévisions des futurs assemblages, préparation du calendrier de nos différentes manifestations en 2010.

    As per usual, I'm a bit late with my New Years greetings. In France they tell me that you can wish some one a happy New Year throughout the month of January, so that's usually my excuse! In any case, we hope that the first year of the decade will be full of hope and promise for all, and full of celebrations accompanied with Champagne Fluteau!
For us, after a few days of relaxing with family and friends during the holidays, and a bit of gastronomic overdoing, I'm now back in the office, and Thierry is back in the cellars. Our occupations : filling out tons of administrative paperwork (they seem to love this in France), Inventory (yes, again!) preparing samples for all the different awards, guidebooks, journalists (each year the deadlines are earlier and earllier !) still wine tasting from the last harvest to prepare our future blends, and setting dates for our different wine tastings in France and elsewhere.
    Speaking of which, we were informed that a stand was available at a trade show in Lyon organised by the "Vignerons Indépendants", which is a first for us. These shows are usually very well organized and well attended by the public, so we are quite pleased.
