Just had our first snowfall here in Gyé, a bit early for the season, but the white snow covering is certainly better than the drab and dreary November we usually have! It doesn't really matter too much what kind of weather we have at this time of year, as we spend most of our time indoors, preparing Christmas orders. We've been non-stop disgorging and labeling the bottles, but this year we've been having trouble disgorging our Cuvée Prestige. It's quite a mystery, one of the many things we can't seem to explain. All our other cuvées disgorge without a hitch, but the Prestige is behaving badly.....when we top off the bottles after removing the crown cap, the wine reacts and overflows, causing some loss and slowing things down.....very frustrating, especially at this busy time of year!
Les premiers flocons de neige sont tombés hier, un peut tôt pour la saison, mais je les préfère au temps maussade qui est notre sort habituel en novembre....De toute façon, peu importe le temps qu'il fait dehors, nous sommes très occupés actuellement avec les préparations des commandes de Noël. Nous dégorgeons et habillons sans répis.
